Expansive views to the San Francisco Bay distinguish this 1960s tower. The entry vestibule provides the introduction to this dramatic relationship between land and water. Grounding the entrance is a bamboo bench which folds and undulates in accordance with the topographic contours of the hills and sea basin of the bay.

Subtle drifts in plan and section extend the movement from the interior to the distant landscape. The ceiling forms a lofty sanctuary in which CNC panels are composed to absorb audio, electrical, and mechanical systems. Detailed surfaces bring a warmth and scale to the expansive view.
