BACKGROUND

Rita is a licensed architect and mural artist with a keen interest in cultural practices, craft techniques and sustainability who joined Kuth Ranieri Architects in 2024. She began her career in the non-profit sector at the Development Alternatives NGO in Delhi and has maintained a community focused approach to climate-driven design and local craft ever since.

She earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from G.G.S Indraprastha University, Delhi, a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Environmental Design from the Architectural Association, London, and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia. Licensed both in India and the state of California, Rita has worked on a wide variety of project types across both geographies ranging from public libraries and recreation centers to residential renovations and custom art installations.

Prior to joining Kuth Ranieri Architects, she ran her own Delhi-based practice, Also Architects, and worked at Bay Area firms Group 4 Architecture, Research + Planning and Cary Bernstein Architect. She has conducted design studios and served as visiting faculty at various professional architecture degree programs in India including the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi. Her independent mural projects include large scale hand-made installations that fuse the architectural elements of spaces into her artwork.
