Greg Morse
Project Architect
BACKGROUND
A chance encounter with a charismatic teacher opened Greg Morse’s eyes to architecture in high school. He revealed that it isn’t just a decorative hobby for the rich and it isn’t what we see on HGTV but that it’s a powerful, omnipresent force that shapes all of us, and all of us shape it back. It influences our education, our physical and mental health, our dignity, our economies, and the health of the natural world. This realization kickstarted Greg’s passion for serving others who, like him, grew up thinking they had no place in the hifalutin world of architecture.
He earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design as class valedictorian from the University of Colorado and, while earning his Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois, he researched strategies for architects to better educate the public1 and rewrote the curriculum for an undergraduate studio.
He has worked with architecture firms and non-profit design collaboratives2 across a broad spectrum of project types (Single- and Multi-Family residential, fire stations, schools, historic, and commercial) and levels of sustainability (LEED, Passive House, Living Building Challenge). His design research and education experience has helped curate and create museum exhibitions3 and conferences devoted to sharing the latest findings in evidence-based design.4
After moving to San Francisco in 2021, he has become obsessed with bike racing6 and exploring natural areas all around the Bay Area.
